Lynn has contacted us after her father was diagnosed with mesothelioma. She wanted to know if her family is entitled to any compensation for her father's disease. We told her that there are high chances they might get compensated if we can prove his disease was caused by asbestos exposure, but we would need more information. We agreed to help Lynn with her case and she provided us all the details she had at that time.
We found out that her father had been struggling with the illness for years. He wasn't diagnosed with mesothelioma at first. As the disease progressed, he went to different hospitals where he got different diagnoses. In September 2013, he was diagnosed with pleural disease at the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. A month later, doctors discovered that he had a poorly differentiated carcinoma. The lung cancer diagnosis was initially linked to the fact that had been smoking for many years in his youth. When he went to get checked again, the doctors confirmed that he had bilateral pleural plaques and his final diagnosis was mesothelioma.
After looking into her father's medical records, we asked Lynn to provide us with more information regarding his work history so that we can establish a link between his occupation and his condition. This is when we found out that he had been working for years in an industrial environment where he must have had contact with asbestos. Between 1959 and 1962, the man was employed in different industrial facilities in Racine WS, Hutchinson KS, Wichita KS, and Corpus Christi TX. Some of his ex-employees were Joe & Robert Lamparek, Kenneth W & E G Young, the Mid States Const Co Inc, Vernon L Boyd, and O D Edwards.
After filing the claim for Lynn, we had to wait for several months before we received an answer. Today, despite her father's passing, she and her family can benefit from the financial aid that was granted to them through the legal process.
If you don't know whether it's worth pursuing a claim or not, contact us and we can tell you if you have chances of getting compensated for asbestos exposure.
